Application Integration Tester
The Application Integration Tester plays a crucial role in integration testing within the Warfighting Applications Product Line (WAPL). This position involves overseeing testing and evaluation activities, which include developing and implementing test plans, creating test cases, and generating reports. The tester will interact with technical teams within the WAPL and the broader WSO to enhance the capability of meeting the Warfighter's IT needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and executing test plans, products, and services to meet organizational standards and user requirements.
Creating test cases and procedures, providing insights into software test timing and approach.
Conducting walkthroughs of test cases/scripts with Test Managers, Requirements Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
Writing test cases and scripts, identifying test data requirements for scenarios.
Analyzing Operational Concepts and Functional Requirements to create realistic test scenarios and use cases.
Preparing and submitting detailed test and integration reports, assisting developers and peers with defect resolution.
Reporting defects identified during integration testing and recommending changes for applications.
Reporting to the Technical Lead/Product Line Lead on activity status, risks, and task completion for effective communication through the organization.
Supporting the Warfighting Applications Product Line Manager with timely advice on schedules and risks associated with Application T&E activities.
Required Skills and Experience
2-5 years of experience with a focus on ADF C2 application testing.
Proficiency with Test and Evaluation tools, frameworks, and implementations.
Experience with military applications such as BMS, GCCS, TBMCS, JADOCS, C2Chat, and related systems, including server/client communication, documentation, and multi-vendor solutions.
Experience in software testing within a Dev/Sec/Ops pipeline, including test automation and version control.
Familiarity with testing in environments with varying security levels, caveats, and controls.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with experience engaging stakeholders, projects, and business areas.
Ability to analyze complex requirements and design documents to create detailed test cases and scripts.
Desirable
In-depth knowledge of system and software testing throughout the lifecycle, including integration and best practices.
Experience in application development, testing, integration, and troubleshooting in complex Defence projects or similar environments.
Experience in secure environments and with Software Defined Datacentre models.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
Experience with secure development, coding, testing, and engineering practices in Dev/Sec/Ops frameworks.
Understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
