The business has long standing relationships within the industry and this role will continue to grow and develop those accounts with Defence & Industry.
Role and Responsibilities
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients, suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.
Lead customer engagement activities, including preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, proposals, and tenders.
Analyse market trends, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic direction.
Define project scope and develop accurate pricing for quotations and proposals.
Manage and maintain the company's sales pipeline to support reliable forecasting and reporting.
Support commercial negotiations to achieve favourable outcomes aligned with company objectives.
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within Defence, government, and industrial markets.
Work collaboratively with internal teams-including marketing, engineering, and senior management-to ensure solutions align with customer and market needs.
- Attend industry events and conferences to gather market intelligence
Experience required
Australian citizenship with eligibility for an AGSVA Security Clearance.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, within Defence or government sectors.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to identify, assess, and act on growth opportunities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multifunctional teams.
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Experience in technical sales or sustainment services within Defence environments.
Prior engagement with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) or other government entities.
