Delivery Manager
The Delivery Manager position is expected to operate within the scope and delivery requirements set by the Program Leadership, guiding the Project team and ensuring alignment to the overall Program endorsed strategic direction. There is an expectation that this role will work closely with the program team and other delivery managers to ensure the project delivers the desired outcomes. There is a large focus on fostering a positive environment within the Program overall and the ability to maintain open and honest communication and collaboration.
Contract Duration: 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Security Clearance: Minimum Baseline Security Clearance NV1 preferred
Location of Work: Canberra - on site
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with business stakeholders and internal teams.
- Be responsive to changing business requirements and ensure projects deliver value aligned with business needs.
- Lead and facilitate the planning, execution, and successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Manage allocated project resources to achieve project deliverables and business objectives.
- Drive project execution through effective identification and resolution of issues, proactive risk management, and a strong focus on required outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with project teams, leadership, and executives to highlight successes, address risks, and provide actionable solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and support project staff, fostering their professional development within the project context.
- Deliver projects in line with established organisational methodologies, frameworks, and governance standards.
- Perform additional duties or take on additional responsibilities as directed when required.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in Agile delivery with the ability to communicate effectively and all levels of Government.
- Proven experience applying Agile methodologies within a Government setting.
- Demonstrated experience assisting project teams to mature their Agile ways of working.
- Experience in delivering high quality written communication including Executive briefings at SES levels.
- Experience and willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team that places a core emphasis on culture and is highly collaborative.
Desirable:
- Agile or scrum certification
- Strong experience with project methodologies and tools specifically DevOps and MS Project or other industry standards.
- Relevant experience Enterprise Service Management and Business Process Reengineering projects.
- Ability to work onsite within an office location.
