Lead Security Engineer

Cleared Recruitment are working closely with a Mission Critical Software Development company. We are hiring for an experienced Lead Security Engineer to work on transforming and scalable projects. The fast growing company works within a variety of valuable and mission focused sectors.

As the Lead Security Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and architecture of high end systems. You will work closely with both operations and engineering teams.

You will be required to work onsite for either the Brisbane or Canberra site.

Responsibilities:

• Work through the life cycle of projects with the engineering team, from design, development and implementation.
• Use the highest standards of cyber security principles.
• Ensure thorough risk assessments have taken place.
• Detect and act upon any security threats.
• Utilise modern cyber security technologies for protecting the infrastructure.

Experience required:

• You must hold NV2 security clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
• Have a minimum of 10 years' experience working with cyber security.
• Cloud experience and worked with Linux.
• Automation and monitoring tools.
• Able to communicate with teams and stakeholders.
• Bonus if you have worked within government or defence industries.
