Job Description
ASD is seeking an experienced Security Architect to design, review, test and assure secure technical environments and solution implementations. The Security Architect contributes to technical architecture, security policies and practices, ensuring solutions align with current and emerging security best practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop current, transitional and target security architectures aligned to agency strategies
• Validate and apply security requirements across solution designs, implementations and configurations
• Assess solution components against security architectures, policies and standards
• Conduct capability gap analysis and provide risk-based guidance
• Support secure solution implementation, including managing design changes and deviations
• Contribute to architectural and security design approval processes

Education/Certifications required

• Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field

Knowledge/Skills required

• Demonstrated security architecture experience of 3 or more years
• Information assurance expertise at SFIA Level 5
• Information security expertise at SFIA Level 5, including risk assessment and accreditation
• Solution architecture experience at SFIA Level 4 across cloud-based or on?premises environments
• Ability to provide specialist security advice at SFIA Level 5
• Experience designing complex systems and managing design trade-offs at SFIA Level 5
