Cleared are on the lookout for a seasoned Systems Administrator to join our team and spearhead the maintenance and integration of our cutting-edge ICT infrastructure and security systems.

Do you boast hands-on experience in orchestrating secure and robust VMware, Linux, and/or Windows ICT environments? Are you a wizard when it comes to data processing, scripting, and coding, wielding expertise in tools such as Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python, or C? Based in Canberra, this opportunity presents a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. While possession of a current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is advantageous, we're also open to considering candidates with recently downgraded TSPV clearance.

Skills and Knowledge:

Experience in administering a secure and reliable VMware, Linux and/or Windows ICT environment.

1. Data processing, scripting, and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C.
2. Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly VMware or Red Hat

Major Responsibilities:

Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing VMware, Windows and/or Linux based systems.

1. Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.
2. With Guidance the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes the use of network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.
3. With Guidance make sure incidents, problems and changes are captured and responded to within the IT service management platform. This includes administration of accounts and permissions.

  Contract terms: 12 months
  SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3.
  Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
