Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
Working Arrangement: ACT Onsite preferred - Remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About the team
The Commercial Application Section (CFS) in the Business Solutions branch delivers critical ICT solutions to enable the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) to efficiently perform its function. We have a broad and varied capability scope across the business areas of DFAT, from Crisis and Consular services, Scholarships and Aid, and Trade; ensuring a very interesting and crucial workload. About the Role
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will work closely with Solution Leads, Business Analysts, Testers and Release Managers to design, develop, test and deploy Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
• Designing, building and delivering enterprise-level integrated Salesforce solutions.
• Configuring and customising Salesforce using best-practice approaches.
• Building and modifying custom Objects, Flows, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules and other Salesforce configurations.
• Developing solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Translating application designs into functional configurations and code.
• Troubleshooting and resolving development and configuration issues.
• Supporting quality assurance, testing and release management activities.
• Working through DevOps/CI/CD pipelines to support controlled releases.
• Producing technical, solution and design documentation.
• Staying current with Salesforce technologies, functionality and development best practices.
• Working collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements and acceptance criteria.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years in performing Salesforce development.
• Have specialist ICT skills in the following:
• Demonstrated experience to design, build and deliver enterprise level integrated solutions and follow Salesforce best practices Demonstrated experience in configuring Salesforce. Ability to build/ modify custom Objects, Flows, Permission sets, sharing and other related configuration and settings.
• Advanced demonstrated experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Omnistudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Public Sector Solutions and Experience cloud.
• Experience in using version control and advanced CI/ CD tooling.
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Omni Studio Developer/ Consultant.
• Minimum current/active NV1 security clearance.

Desirable

• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II or any Salesforce Architect Certification like Data Designer/ Sharing and Visibility Designer.
• Certified Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant.
