ServiceNow Developer - Baseline Cleared | Remote
Cleared Recruitment is working closely with a high-profile federal government program focused on uplifting their cyber posture in line with ACSC Essential 8 Maturity Level 2 standards.

We're seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support platform and security enhancements across the organisation's ServiceNow instance.
This contract role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Australia, with occasional travel to Canberra (1-2 days, subject to confirmation).

Starting ASAP and till 30/6/25 with the contract is expected to extend beyond this..

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Strengthen admin access controls across ServiceNow, including logging, MFA, and privilege restrictions.
• 
  Apply security patches and vendor updates within 30 days of release.
• 
  Configure and enforce MFA policies for internal and third-party users.
• 
  Implement secure backup and restoration processes aligned with ACSC ML2 guidelines.
• 
  Remove dependencies on third-party connectors such as Lab3 and improve Sentinel incident handling.
• 
  Contribute to ongoing ServiceNow enhancements including potential integration with SecOps and Event Management modules.
• 
  Support vulnerability management, risk reduction, and compliance within a ServiceNow/SIEM environment.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 
  Experience working with ServiceNow in a security-focused environment.
• 
  Solid understanding of ACSC Essential 8 (especially Maturity Level 2).
• 
  Exposure to SIEM tools, preferably Microsoft Sentinel.
• 
  Familiarity with ServiceNow-Sentinel integrations and ticket automation.
• 
  Understanding of change control and incident response workflows.
• 
  Ability to implement platform security measures including access control and MFA.
• 
  Strong documentation and communication skills.

Other Requirements:

• 
  Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance
• 
  Australian Citizenship required
• 
  Must be based in Australia, with flexibility for short-term travel to Canberra if required.
