Cleared is partnering with a Federal Government client seeking an experienced System Administrator to support and maintain critical information management and enterprise infrastructure systems within a highly secure environment.

This role is suited to an infrastructure professional with strong experience across Windows Server, cloud technologies, database administration, and information management platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems that support important government capabilities.

Job Description

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise system software and infrastructure. Working across a hybrid technology environment, you will support operating systems, middleware, databases, cloud services, and information management platforms to ensure high levels of availability and performance.

You will also contribute to system optimisation, software upgrades, troubleshooting activities, and the ongoing management of critical information management systems and EDRMS platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage and support AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Administer Oracle databases and support SQL-based solutions.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and system software issues.
• Support middleware, operating systems, utility software, and enterprise applications.
• Plan, test, and implement software updates and upgrades.
• Manage the lifecycle of information management systems and EDRMS platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation and diagnostic tools where appropriate.
• Ensure systems remain secure, stable, and aligned with operational requirements.

Education/Certifications Required

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, or relevant infrastructure certifications are highly regarded.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Oracle Database administration and SQL experience.
• Infrastructure support across operating systems, middleware, and enterprise software.
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• PowerShell, scripting, or automation experience.
• Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with EDRMS, records management, or information management systems.
• Experience with Objective ECM highly regarded.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
