Cleared ICT are supporting a privately owned Australian company who are looking for a Systems Engineer, Integration and Test Manager with NV1 clearance or above. This is a permanent opportunity is based in Canberra. You will be working with new and emerging technology across markets such as space domain awareness, satellite communications and monitoring and control. This company is specialising in the development of new technology and implementation techniques for the operations and management of communications networks and the electromagnetic spectrum.

Mission and Scope
The Systems Engineering, Integration, and Testing (SEIT) Manager provides technical leadership and guidance in the application of systems engineering practices to deliver Information Technology capabilities to customers. This role involves managing resources to ensure high-quality outcomes within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope. The SEIT Manager will directly oversee a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other project teams to achieve business objectives. Direct interaction with customers is also a key aspect of this role.

The SEIT Manager will report directly to the AM&C Engineering Manager regarding all aspects of systems engineering, integration, and testing, including performance metrics and project status.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and technical direction to the SEIT team and across the project and organisation.
  • Applying systems engineering practices to deliver complex IT capabilities and achieve business outcomes.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes to customers on schedule, within budget, and to the agreed scope.
  • Developing and implementing systems engineering processes and procedures.
  • Managing product configuration baselines in line with configuration management standards.
  • Overseeing product system requirements and setting requirements for software development and other disciplines.
  • Managing system integration processes.
  • Verifying compliance against specifications and requirements to achieve customer acceptance.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support artifacts.
  • Participating in and contributing to relevant engineering and project management reviews.
  • Managing the development and delivery of engineering and other assigned technical contract deliverables.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the field.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Systems Engineering approaches to deliver complex IT capabilities.
  • Practical experience in Software and/or Information Technology.
  • Undergraduate four-year degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Holds an Australian government NV1 security clearance.
  • Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled technology


Desirable:

  • Chartered Professional Engineering status or eligibility
  • Registered as a professional engineer in an Australian jurisdiction
  • Knowledge and experience in satellite communication
  • Experience in delivering programs within the ASDEFCON framework
