Microsoft Windows Engineer| Adelaide | Immediate Start


Cleared Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a key organisation within Australia's national security community to engage a Microsoft Windows Engineer for a critical ICT capability development program based in Adelaide. This is a 12-month contract with potential extensions of up to 24 months and an immediate start, subject to Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).


About the Role


You'll support a major transformation program by leading the design, deployment and management of secure Microsoft Windows environments. This is a high-impact role requiring hands-on technical expertise in Windows infrastructure, automation, and security integration.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, manage and support Windows Server platforms including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, WSUS, and Remote Desktop Services.

  • Design, test and deploy new Windows OS builds, maintain system images, and integrate with VMware environments.

  • Deploy and manage MS SQL Server Clusters in secure infrastructure environments.

  • Provide automation for server tasks and systems operations.

  • Integrate Windows platforms with multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions and enterprise security tools.

  • Perform routine system health checks and proactively monitor hardware and software performance.

  • Manage backup and recovery services for virtualised systems, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows and virtual environment issues.

  • Plan and execute server migrations as required.

  • Contribute to ICT procurement planning and delivery across classified environments.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support secure delivery of project milestones.

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Cluster configuration and management.

  • Experience integrating Windows systems with security software and enterprise tools.

  • Sound understanding of virtualisation platforms, preferably VMware.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Prior experience supporting government ICT projects or similar high-assurance environments.

Eligibility Requirements:


  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory.

  • Must hold NV1 or NV2 AGSVA security clearance.

  • Willingness to undergo a TSPV clearance process and complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).
