Azure Infrastructure Engineer - NV1 | Brisbane

We're currently looking for an NV1- Cleared Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join a values-led, high-performing team based in Brisbane. You'll work across a range of modern cloud environments supporting forensic software solutions and contributing to a broader ICT uplift in a fast-moving, secure delivery setting. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise cloud infrastructure and internal environments.
• Design infrastructure solutions based on client and product requirements.
• Ensure system security and compliance with ISM and industry standards.
• Continuously optimise infrastructure for cost, security, and performance.
• Monitor systems and services to ensure availability, capacity, and stability.
• Implement and enforce Azure best practices around security, identity management, and access control.
• Manage infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
• Respond to incidents and security alerts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to improve environment reliability and automation.
• Lead technical documentation and provide ongoing platform support.

Desired Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure cloud capability.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing SaaS infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong background in Azure Infrastructure: Azure SQL, App Services, Function Apps, Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Azure Entra/AD, NSGs, VNets, etc.
• Skilled in scripting, automation, and infrastructure management using Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimisation in Azure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience supporting government or public sector organisations highly desirable.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Microsoft Certified:
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep)
• Azure Cloud Deployment experience
• ITIL knowledge is desirable
