Multiple Business Analyst Roles

Location: Canberra
Security Clearance: TSPV (mandatory)
Contract: 12 months + extensions

Role Overview
You will be responsible for defining requirements to improve business processes and systems, reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and quantify potential business benefits. The role involves the collaborative development and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria to support the deployment of information and communication systems.
The Business Analyst will adopt and adapt appropriate business analysis approaches based on context, selecting from predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile) delivery methods as required.

This role sits within the Product Delivery Directorate, which is responsible for designing, developing and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, system architects and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
SFIA Level 4

• Investigate business situations with moderate complexity and ambiguity.
• Apply a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
• Contribute to the selection of appropriate analysis approaches and techniques.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop recommendations for improvement.
• Engage and collaborate effectively with operational stakeholders.

SFIA Level 5

• Plan, manage and lead business situation analysis in environments with significant complexity and ambiguity.
• Advise on and select appropriate business analysis approaches and techniques.
• Ensure a holistic perspective is applied to identify wide-ranging problems and opportunities.
• Engage and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior management.
• Gain stakeholder agreement on conclusions and recommendations.
• Contribute to the development of organisational standards and guidelines for business situation
