An ASX200 listed company and leading national ICT solutions provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth within the Defence and Intelligence sector.

Responsibilities of your new role:

• Develop and execute a strategic business plan and go to market strategy to acquire new customers
• Lead the end-to-end sales process across complex solution offerings including cloud, infrastructure, data, security, and digital modernisation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the Defence and Intelligence sector
• Lead tenders, proposals, and submissions, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and compliance requirements.
• Engage with solution teams and vendor partners to co-develop tailored technology solutions
• Maintain high levels of governance, forecasting accuracy, and operational discipline across the sales lifecycle.
• Represent the organisation at Defence industry events, forums, and networking functions to identify emerging opportunities

Key Skills to make this your next role:

• Experience in ICT, technology sales, or business development roles within medium-to-large or complex environments.
• Previous history selling within Defence, government, or national security
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of ICT solution frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to operate in secure environments.
• Understanding of the Defence procurement landscape and can navigate complex deal cycles
• NV1 security clearance with eligibility to achieve NV2
