Requirments
ASD requires a Cloud Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of bespoke Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) systems. This position will be embedded in a team within ACSC to enable their achievement of mission outcomes.
The successful candidate will be capable of working in a high-speed environment that requires an agile attitude with flexibility to tasking, and be accountable for all outputs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a team member in the ACSC to manage bespoke ACSC systems under the direction of a team leader.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring adherence to security policies and practices.
- Conduct Windows and Linux systems administration, including Operating System installation, configuration, integration, hardening, software patching, and documentation of Cyber Security Capability.
- Maintain infrastructure-as-code, utilising tools such as Terraform and HashiCorp Stack.
- Utilise DevSecOps and CICD practices in design, develop, deploy, and maintain tasks.
- Collect requirements from system users and provide support as required to resolve issues or improve outcomes.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and solve issues prior to an impact on operational productivity.
Skills and Qualifications
- Contribute to developing new capabilities within existing datacentre and distributed storage environments.
Essential
- Three or more years' experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure cloud knowledge and experience.
- CI/CD and DevSecOps knowledge and experience.
- Python coding knowledge and experience.
- Proven ability to work across Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate as a team member.
- Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science or related field.
Desirable
- Experience in Cyber Security Operations.
- Kubernetes knowledge and experience.
- Terraform and HashiCorp Stack knowledge and experience.
- Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
- For candidates that hold an NV1 or higher clearance, a willingness to participate in a clearance upgrade.
