Senior End User Support Analyst | Defence Sector | Adelaide
Cleared Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a trusted defence industry organisation delivering high-level capabilities to the Australian Government and Defence sector.
We are on the lookout for a NV1 Senior End User Support Analyst to provide on-site IT and infrastructure support in a classified environment.
Based in Adelaide, this role involves hands-on troubleshooting, systems monitoring, and support for end-user technologies and infrastructure at a high-security site.
Please note: As this opportunity is within the Defence sector, you must be an Australian citizen and hold an NV1 security clearance to be eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver local technical support for end users across hardware, software, and infrastructure systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi, Horizon)
Coordinate on-site support activities, managing the local team and tasking analysts to meet service levels
Monitor incident tickets and collaborate with global service desk and infrastructure teams
Support patching and system updates across local infrastructure under broader IT guidance
Manage lifecycle planning, asset inventory, and procurement coordination
Provide "white glove" support to executives, stakeholders, and visiting staff as needed
Participate in occasional out-of-hours or weekend support to meet operational requirements
Skills & Experience Required:
7+ years in a technical support or IT infrastructure role
Experience working within Australian Defence or secure ICT environments
Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows-based systems, and networking fundamentals
Knowledge of NetApp, Synology, PowerVault or similar storage platforms
Strong diagnostic skills across hardware, OS, and application support
Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or similar (highly regarded)
Experience with VMware ESXi and virtualisation tools
Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ticketing systems)
Excellent communication, task prioritisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (or already hold one)
Previous experience working in Defence or Government ICT environments is highly desirable
