Cyber Security Engineer - Multiple Levels (NV1 and Above)

Location: Canberra, ACT
Clearance: NV1 or higher
Sector: Federal Government & Defence



About the Role

We are seeking experienced Cyber Security Engineers at multiple levels to support critical government and defence projects. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems, ensuring compliance with Australian Government security standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security architectures and frameworks
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis
  • Manage security incidents and provide remediation strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with ISM and PSPF
  • Support accreditation and certification processes


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in cyber security engineering within government or defence environments
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Government security standards (ISM, PSPF)
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • NV1 clearance or above (mandatory)


Desirable

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud security and secure network design
