Electronics & Mechanical Technician

We have an exciting opportunity here in Melbourne for a junior technician with either a mechanical or electronics/electrical background to help build next generation systems for the DoD.
Must have a current or reinstatable Defence clearance and willing to travel as required.

Location: Melbourne, Victoria 10 minutes from the CBD

Employment: Permanent full-time with benefits

Role: Technician

Role details:

• Assembly, test, fault finding and integration of mechanical and/or electronics systems for military use
• Support engineering services and technical reporting
• Technical documentation development and manage user manuals
• Integration of specialised communications, electrical and electro-mechanical systems onto larger platforms
• Wiring and harness installation
• Maintenance setup and project planning

What we require:

• Minimum certificate III in electrotechnology, communications, electrical or electro-mechanical systems
• Background in Defence or similar safety critical environments
• Ability to work in a pressured environment and adhere to MIL-STDs
• Previous or active defence clearance Baseline or above level; Australian Citizenship essential
• Collaborative attitude and willing to travel for work as needed to site locations
