Financial Support Officer

We are seeking a Financial Support Officer to join a Systems Programme Office within CASG. This role is ideal for candidates with strong financial administration skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Expected Commencement Date: ASAP
• Duration: 21-months
• Hours: Full-time
• Location: Canberra - No option for remote work
• Minimum Security Clearance: NV1

About the Role:

You will support financial and purchasing activities across the SPO, ensuring accurate processing, tracking, and reporting of financial transactions. This is a hands?on role requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial data entry and preparation of financial documents
• Invoice tracking, vendor management, and transaction control
• Maintaining meticulous financial records
• Supporting purchasing activities and financial workflows
• Managing multiple requests with accuracy and timeliness
• Contributing to a collaborative and fast?paced team environment

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience or transferable skills in financial data entry
• Ability to draft financial documents in line with guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and record?keeping
• Experience managing invoices and financial transactions
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities

Highly Desirable:

• Bachelor of Finance or Commerce
• APS or equivalent financial administration experience
• Experience with ROMAN
• Experience with SAP4 HANA
