Role: Vehicle Mechanic

Role details:

  • Assembly, test, fault finding and integration of mechanical systems for military use
  • Support engineering services and technical reporting
  • Technical documentation development and manage user manuals
  • Repair, dissemble and reassemble of vehicles sub-systems in according with technical drawings and specifications
  • Utilise test equipment and practice safe working
  • Support training and instruction of military personnel
  • Quality assurance, technical reporting and manage continuous improvement
  • Maintenance setup and project planning

What we require:

  • Hold a current Diesel or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience either as a Vehicle Mechanic on military vehicles/platforms, ASLAV or M1A1 or similar.
  • Ability to work in a pressured environment and adhere to MIL-STDs
  • Previous or active defence clearance Baseline or above level; Australian Citizenship essential
  • Collaborative attitude and willing to travel for work as needed to site locations
  • Fit and able to complete medical assessments and lift minimum 10 - 20 Kilos on a semi-regular basis where needed.
