Cleared Recruitment is proud to be working with the Commonwealth supporting the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of critical ICT platforms within a secure defence environment based in Canberra.

This is a 12-month contract with likely extensions!

We are seeking NV2 & TSPV-cleared Systems Administrators with expertise across Windows environments, security information management applications (SIEM), virtualisation, data transport, and enterprise-level system sustainment. This opportunity sits within a critical ICT capability uplift, offering long-term career potential for individuals with a technical edge and strong understanding of Defence ICT requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be part of a specialist team providing technical platform support across a wide spectrum of defence-grade ICT systems and infrastructure. Core responsibilities include:

• 
  Sustainment and enhancement of SIEM platforms (e.g., Elastic, Stroom, ArcSight).
• 
  Containerised application support using Rancher Kubernetes Engine or OpenShift.
• 
  Data pipeline management (NiFi, Kafka) and data integrity enforcement.
• 
  Host log collection development (Visual Studio, .NET, C#, SQL integrations).
• 
  Managing indexing and reindexing activities across large datasets in Elastic.
• 
  Nuix application support (Workstation, Investigate) with Elasticsearch integrations.
• 
  Infrastructure support across VMware, NetApp, and network configuration environments.
• 
  Application deployment using MECM, Ivanti, and whitelisting tools.
• 
  SOE creation and sustainment (Windows 11/2022 Server) and VDI administration via VMware Horizon.
• 
  Multi-factor authentication integration (RSA, PKI, certificate-based access).
• 
  MSSQL database administration and maintenance.
• 
  Backup/restore operations using Commvault.
• 
  System patching and vulnerability scanning using Tenable Security Center.
• 
  Support to system users and analysts, documentation of system design, and technical knowledge transfer to APS teams.
• 
  Continuous system monitoring, incident resolution, and proactive maintenance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 
  Minimum of 5 years' experience in system administration and enterprise infrastructure support.
• 
  In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation (VMware), security logging, and SIEM ecosystems.
• 
  Strong scripting/development experience (PowerShell, XSLT, .NET).
• 
  Experience with multi-domain system support and cross-platform integration.
• 
  Background in ICT systems hardening, patch management, and secure application delivery.
• 
  Strong understanding of Defence ICT standards, practices, and stakeholder environments.

Requirements:

• 
  NV2 & TSPV clearance (mandatory) - no exceptions.
• 
  Must be an Australian Citizen.
• 
  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 
  Ability to contribute to technical documentation, design processes, and project reviews.
• 
  Collaborative and proactive mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities.
