Job Description

We are seeking two ICT Infrastructure Operations professionals to support our customer's sustainment programs within high-assurance environments. These roles will contribute to the delivery, optimisation and continuous improvement of technology infrastructure across physical and virtual data centre environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, operate and optimise data centre infrastructure across compute, storage and network domains
• Manage physical and virtual infrastructure environments to meet evolving customer requirements
• Automate infrastructure activities via scripting, orchestration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Conduct patching, firmware updates and compliance activities aligned with DSPF and PSPF standards
• Monitor infrastructure performance including efficiency, utilisation and security posture
• Support development and sustainment teams through break/fix, delivery and improvement activities
• Engage with vendor support teams for Level 3-4 incident resolution
• Assist procurement activities related to infrastructure lifecycle sustainment
• Administer infrastructure subscriptions with third-party service providers

Education/Certifications

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Engineering or a related discipline
• Industry certifications in virtualisation, cloud or networking technologies desirable
• Security clearance requirements include successful Defence Intelligence Security Assessment

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Strong background in ICT infrastructure operations across physical and virtual environments
• Experience with automation through scripting and orchestration tools (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)
• Familiarity with industry patching practices and cybersecurity compliance
• Competence in performance monitoring and capacity planning tools
• Technical experience with:
• Compute - HPE systems
• Storage - object, block and file solutions from Hitachi and HPE
• Network - Juniper and Cisco platforms
