Managed Operating Environment (MOE) Engineer

Cleared Recruitment is currently assisting a prominent federal government department in Canberra in their search for an NV1 Senior Managed Operating Environment (MOE) Engineer.

This position offers an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of two additional 12-month extensions.

You must have a NV1 Security Clearance to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managed Operating Environment (MOE) Expertise: Design, implement, deliver, and support MOE solutions for government or large organisations across on-premises, hybrid, or cloud-only environments, ensuring alignment with Australian Government Cyber Security (ACSC Essential 8) requirements.
• Technical Implementation: Develop and maintain technologies critical to MOE, including:
  • Standard Operating Environment (SOE) image creation.
  • Application packaging and deployment.
  • Application and device control.
  • Endpoint security and device compliance.
  • Device enrolment and management.
• Microsoft Configuration Management: Strong experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Endpoint Manager to support and manage the department's IT infrastructure.
• Documentation Development: Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including Detailed Designs, High-Level Designs, As-Built-As-Configured documents, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including non-technical managers, through well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including business units, technology experts, and external suppliers to meet project requirements.

Additional Criteria:

• Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Experience with automating processes and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions is desirable.
• Certifications: Any relevant industry certifications and qualifications are highly regarded.

Contract Details:

• Estimated Start Date: Monday, 14 October 2024
• Initial Contract Duration: 12 months
• Extension Term: 12 months, with up to two extensions available
• Location: ACT, with a requirement to attend the Canberra office three days per week and participate in team meetings as needed.
• Security Clearance: Must hold an active NV1 clearance.
