Role Title: Senior Consultant - OpenShift

About the Opportunity
Cleared Recruitment is partnering with a leading organisation in the secure technology space to find an experienced Senior Consultant - OpenShift. This full-time role is based in Canberra and involves delivering enterprise-grade container solutions for government clients.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to design, deploy, and optimise OpenShift platforms, while also mentoring junior consultants and contributing to internal capability uplift. The role suits someone with deep technical expertise and strong consulting experience in secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of OpenShift container platforms
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams
• Provide subject matter expertise on OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerisation
• Support architecture, design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across container platforms
• Contribute to internal initiatives and knowledge sharing
• Mentor junior consultants and support capability development
• Ensure solutions align with government security and compliance frameworks

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in consulting or enterprise IT delivery
• Strong expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Experience with RHEL and automation tools (Ansible, AAP)
• Knowledge of container security, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite, IdM/IPA, and virtualisation technologies
• Understanding of Linux security practices and compliance frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration - highly regarded
• RHCE - desirable
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
• NV1 clearance minimum (Australian Citizenship required)
