Pre-Sales Solution Architect - Managed Services

The Managed Services group is growing and we're looking for someone who enjoys stepping into the room, understanding what a customer is really trying to solve and turning that into a solution that stands up in the real world.

Here's the thing. This role sits right at the point where opportunity becomes delivery. You'll work with account executives to unpack customer needs, design managed service offerings that meet them, then carry those ideas through proposals, tenders and presentations. When the deal lands, the solution you've shaped becomes the foundation for how our delivery teams succeed.

What you'll be doing

• You'll own the early technical heartbeat of our managed services work. That means:
• Designing end-to-end managed services solutions across infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and workplace environments.
• Translating business needs into practical architectures that scale, stay secure, and fit our delivery models.
• Leading pre-sales conversations, workshops, and discovery sessions that help clients understand their options.
• Crafting clear, convincing proposals, tender responses, and solution documents that stand up to scrutiny.
• Working closely with delivery, operations, finance, and legal so the solution you propose is something we can deliver with confidence.
• Coordinating partner inputs, pricing, and commercial details to make sure our offers are complete and competitive.
• Keeping an eye on the NetSuite queue to ensure priorities line up with sales and business objectives.
• Continuously improving our proposal templates, technical artefacts, and the way we present managed services to market.

You'll do well here if you bring:

• At least five years as a Solutions Architect and another five working hands-on with Managed Services.
• A track record designing complex service offerings that hit organisational goals, not just technical checklists.
• The ability to break down tricky issues, think laterally, and offer options that make sense to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience engaging senior customers and internal teams with confidence.
• Familiarity with how managed services are established, governed, improved, and commercially structured.
• Strong communication skills, especially when the topic is critical, sensitive, or complex.
• Comfort working under pressure, juggling deadlines, and shifting priorities.
• Experience across enterprise and mid-market environments, plus exposure to federal, state, or local government.
• Wins under your belt in managed services bids or tenders.
