Sales Consultant - Security Systems - Sydney based

Our client is a global market leader innovating new systems and solutions for emerging threats. They have been recruiting due to significant growth in Australia, Europe and across Asia Pacific.

An extensive product portfolio which has seen them grow into other business areas including defence, federal and state government, providing detection and scanning solutions and through building long term relationships with clients that value their reliability and discretion.

The role will report directly to the Managing Director.

Job Description

  • Will play a critical role in expanding market presence and driving revenue growth within the civil security and threat detection sectors.
  • Primarily for accounts and cover growth into related customers and verticals as required.
  • Responsible for selling cutting-edge solutions for products that integrate with electronics, software and hardware, providing sales, installation and support.
  • Dealing with a variety of customers dealing with End Users, Distributors, Integrators and Procurement Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of target markets to identify potential customers, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the Event, Stadium, Venue, Conference markets, local and state government.
  • Understand their unique requirements, challenges, and procurement processes.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of their portfolio
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of customers. Provide comprehensive technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with customers to secure contracts and agreements and ensure favourable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set for the Defence and Government accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the Security sectors, particularly solutions protecting congregations and where large volume of people transit.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems and procurement processes and regulations.
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand and explain technical solutions.
  • Security clearances or the ability to obtain them may be required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events (including APAC).
