Security Assessors / GRC Consultants for Federal Government Contract in Canberra

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: Initial engagement until June 30, 2025, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Clearance Required: Must hold or be eligible to obtain security clearance

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for multiple Security Assessors & GRC Consultants to join a large federal government department in Canberra. This program, which is set to commence in the next 6-8 weeks, is focused on growing the department's cyber security applications team. This is a program is set to go for at least 3 years, with the initial contract running until June 30, 2025. Plus 2 x 12 month extensions.

To be successful for these positions, you will have prior Applications experience. It's also essential you have a firm understanding of IRAP assessments and the ISM framework.

Security Assessors:

  • Perform comprehensive security assessments across various systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards and regulations.
  • Provide detailed reports and collaborate with teams to remediate findings.

GRC Consultants:

  • Develop and implement Governance, Risk, and Compliance strategies.
  • Advise on best practices for maintaining and improving security posture.
  • Support the department in adhering to federal security policies and frameworks.
