Senior RF Engineer

We currently have an opportunity in Canberra for a Senior RF Engineer with experience in military communications systems & products to join an industry leader. This is a critical role within the business that will be responsible for leading the systems engineering efforts for various projects through the systems life cycle.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity commencing on the 1st of July with potential extensions based in Canberra.

This is an amazing opportunity to work on state-of-the-art systems in Defence whilst showcasing your engineering expertise. You will be responsible for the development of radio RF systems and RF test plans.

Responsibilities:

• Development of radio systems and RF orientated procedures
• Derive system requirements, define the test requirements and participate in system design and system requirements reviews
• Support the development and deployment of test tools
• Act as the SME on EMI/EMC
• Development of RF test plans and procedures
• Conduct risk reduction trials and acceptance testing
• Act as the SME for in-service and emerging systems
• Foster a working environment that is focused on meeting the requirements of customers, both external and internal

Skills & Experience required:

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science focused on Radio Frequency Engineering
• Experience with design and development of military communications systems and products
• Firm understanding of environmental and EMI/EMC standards
• Experience developing RF Test Plans and Procedures
• Knowledge of Defence project life cycle
• Must meet ITAR requirements
