Senior Systems Analyst

Location: Canberra (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

About the Role
DFAT is seeking two experienced Senior Systems Analysts to support the delivery of identified work packages under the DUP. This role is critical to the modernisation of DFAT's ICT environment and involves working across complex technical landscapes to design and implement secure, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, and implement secure ICT systems aligned with government policy and operational requirements
• Identify legacy systems for modernisation or cloud migration
• Develop solutions that integrate with existing platforms and meet DTA standards
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure delivery of reliable and secure systems
• Apply systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle of ICT projects

Skills & Experience Required

• Relevant and up-to-date technical certifications
• Strong understanding of Australian Government ICT frameworks and standards
• Demonstrated experience in systems engineering and software lifecycle management
• Ability to work across complex environments and deliver integrated solutions
• Experience in federal government or Defence ICT projects preferred
