TSPV System Administrator | Canberra | National Security Project

Cleared Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a prominent agency at the heart of Australia's national security community and looking to engage a skilled TSPV-cleared System Administrator for a secure, long-term contract on a program based in Canberra.

This is a fully on-site role, ideal for professionals with experience supporting secure, mission-critical ICT environments.

The Department requires all potential candidates to hold a TSPV clearance.

About the Role:
We are seeking Systems Administrators to lead and manage system administrative support activities within a key capability domain. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing system installations, configurations, and providing ongoing hardware and OS support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux systems across secure domains.
• Perform routine administration tasks, including patching, updates, and health checks.
• Monitor system performance, identify faults, and provide timely resolutions.
• Manage system backups, access controls, and antivirus/security updates.
• Maintain and update technical documentation aligned with internal processes and ISM requirements.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, and support teams on BAU operations and project tasks.
• Support system rollouts, migrations, and hardware lifecycle management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a System Administrator within secure or classified ICT environments.
• Strong technical capability across Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy.
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as SCCM, VMware, or scripting tools (PowerShell/Bash).
• Ability to troubleshoot network, hardware, and application-level issues.
• Familiarity with ISM compliance and defence/government system environments is highly desirable.
• Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to follow strict security protocols.

Security Clearance

• Current TSPV clearance is mandatory.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens.
• This role is 100% on-site in Canberra - remote work is not available.
