Technical Service Desk Engineer - Sydney

We're looking for a Technical Service Desk Engineer to support a global provider of secure satellite and telecommunications services for government operations.

This company delivers critical communication systems that keep teams connected in real time, anywhere in the world. You'll be the first point of contact for operational support, handling requests, incidents, and outages, maintaining IT systems and preparing satellite hardware for field operations.

Responsibilities:
* Answer customer calls and emails in fluent English
* Triage requests and incidents, investigate, and progress resolution
* Support field staff with equipment operation and fault-finding
* Understand the full product set from setup and support perspective
* Complete tasks to quality standards within agreed schedules
* Ensure Service Level Agreements are met, keeping customers updated
* Conduct maintenance on IT systems and satellite hardware
* Create knowledge articles to speed up future operations
* QA on RMA activity to validate repairs

Qualifications:
* Diploma or Degree in IT, networking, or telecommunications
* Experience with physical and virtual Windows Server systems
* Troubleshooting networking or communications systems incidents
* Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports under supervision
* Problem-solving approach and creativity under pressure
* Good communication and ability to empathize with customer issues
* Self-motivated with ownership of tasks in a busy environment

This role follows a shift pattern over a 9-day fortnight. Candidates must hold citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
