Canberra | Full-time Permanent | NV1 Clearance Required
This is a key technical role within an established international IT solutions organisation supporting Defence-related programs.
You will join a collaborative operations team within a company that genuinely values its people, professional development, and long-term career growth.
The role is Canberra-based (on-site/hybrid) and requires Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Tester / Test Engineer to join a Canberra delivery team, responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of software solutions currently under development.
Reporting to a Test Manager, you will contribute to the assurance of system quality by identifying, documenting, and supporting the resolution of risks and defects across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Participate in workshops to provide testing input and assess testing effort
• 
  Analyse requirements and translate them into clear, structured test cases
• 
  Develop and maintain test cases and test procedures
• 
  Execute tests against defined plans, including simulated environments and scenarios
• 
  Identify, log, track, and retest defects through to resolution
• 
  Produce test progress reports, test results, and supporting documentation
• 
  Contribute to Agile ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Skills & Experience

• 
  Minimum 2 years' experience in a software testing or QA role
• 
  Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
• 
  Strong attention to detail with a methodical, structured approach
• 
  Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• 
  Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, testers, and stakeholders
• 
  Experience working in Agile environments (desirable)
• 
  ISTQB or similar testing certification (desirable)

Security Requirements

To work within a Defence-aligned program, you must hold (or be eligible to obtain and maintain) an NV1 Security Clearance.
Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
