Training Service Manager - Canberra (Onsite) | 12-Month Contract + Extensions

Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite)
Contract: 12 months, with up to 2 x 12-month extensions
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Cleared Recruitment is partnering with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) to find experienced Training Service Managers to support a large digital transformation program.

In this role, you will design and deliver engaging technology training programs that empower employees to confidently use new systems and digital tools. You will work closely with stakeholders to assess training needs, develop learning materials, and ensure that training is effective and aligned with organisational goals.

This is a hands-on, onsite role, ideal for experienced trainers with strong technical knowledge and a passion for supporting technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technology training (in-person and virtual) tailored to diverse audiences.

• Develop high-quality training materials, including user guides, presentations, and e-learning content.

• Conduct training needs analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning requirements.

• Provide hands-on support and troubleshoot technical issues during sessions.

• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and metrics.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in adult learning.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience designing and delivering technology training programs.

• Strong understanding of software, digital systems, and tools, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

• Experience developing engaging training materials: presentations, guides, e-learning content.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders and delivering interactive sessions.

• Ability to adapt training to different learning styles and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
