    About the team
The Applications Modernisation (APP) section within the Business Solution Branch (BSB) is DCB funded to assist the Digital Uplift Program (DUP) through a series of identified Work Packages. APP was initiated in response to the growing need for a more secure, agile and responsive ICT infrastructure. The original request came from the Information Management and Technology Division (IMD), which identified various legacy systems that were becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and integrate with newer technologies. APP aims to rehost applications that currently operate on 2008/2012 servers within DFAT to more secure and supported infrastructure. Successful delivery of the project will enhance operational efficiency and reduce the high risk of cyber-attacks and system failures. This uplift will enable the Department to leverage new technologies and ensure better integration across various systems.
