Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consulting Architect to join the APAC Transformation Consulting team. This role will lead engagements with customers to design, optimise and implement private cloud and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions, aligning technology outcomes with business priorities.

The Consulting Architect will act as a trusted advisor, bridging strategy and execution, and delivering measurable improvements across people, process and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture assessments and develop private cloud roadmaps aligned to customer priorities
• Design and optimise VCF technology areas including compute, storage, networking, security, operations, automation and Kubernetes
• Deliver transformation consulting engagements, including operations optimisation, workload provisioning automation and architecture maturity assessments
• Capture current state baselines, identify improvement opportunities and define success measures for benefits realisation
• Develop and present executive‑level reports, recommendations and playbacks to secure stakeholder buy‑in
• Implement recommendations from transformation roadmaps, including policies, processes, RACI models and operating model optimisation
• Provide guidance on automation capabilities supporting DevSecOps practices
• Mentor and coach customer teams to build proficiency in cloud capabilities and practices
• Contribute to intellectual property development, including frameworks, methodologies and consulting offerings

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting private cloud solutions and delivering cloud transformation programs
• Deep expertise in VCF technologies (compute, storage, networking, security, operations, automation, Kubernetes)
• Proven experience as a technology leader (practice, architecture, program or operations lead)
• Strong presentation and executive client management skills
• VMware certifications: VCP‑VCF Admin (mandatory); VCP‑Architect and VCAP‑VCF Architect (desirable)
• One or more of TOGAF, ITIL or IT4IT certifications - desirable
• Experience in value selling to business stakeholders
• Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 minimum (NV2 highly regarded)
