Business Development Manager
A leading metals manufacturing business are looking for a Sales Manager to lead their growth and expansion of current clients. This business has an excellent reputation, and work has always come to them, but they are now looking to bring on a superstar to develop and grow their market share.
Responsibilities of your new role
- Create and execute a sales plan to retain and grow revenue and win new business.
- Develop and execute strategies for market share growth and customer retention.
- Support and guide sales teams in new business acquisition and client relationship management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to understand needs and deliver value.
- Prepare presentations for sales meetings, network within the industry and gather market intelligence to boost brand visibility.
- Configure tailored product/service solutions and negotiate agreements within defined commercial parameters.
- Accurately input and manage customer data in CRM to support retention, development, and reporting.
- Work with internal teams as the customer advocate to enhance service delivery.
- Support a safety-first culture and ensure a healthy working environment.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Proven leadership experience in a sales or management role within metal or steel manufacturing.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for building lasting relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator and ability to network and build relationships
- Reliable and ability to demonstrate integrity and transparency.
- Persuasive, proactive, and results-focused, with a positive approach to challenges.
