Job Description
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the organisation's DevOps capability, mentor a skilled engineering team and shape the future of its infrastructure. This role blends strategic leadership with hands?on delivery-overseeing the design, implementation and management of secure, high?performance Azure environments while embedding best practices in automation, performance and security.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering continuous improvement and skills development
• Architect, build and optimise secure, scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Implement and refine Infrastructure?as?Code using Terraform and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines
• Drive cloud security design and enforcement across identity, network and data protection
• Monitor, tune and optimise infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance
• Collaborate with development, security and business teams to align technical solutions with operational goals
• Own incident management processes and lead root?cause analysis
• Produce and maintain high?quality documentation for systems, processes and architectural designs

Education/Certifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ?104)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ?500)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ?700)

Knowledge/Skills Required

• 5-7 years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven expertise designing, deploying and operating Azure cloud environments
• Advanced Infrastructure?as?Code skills (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipeline development
• Strong background in cloud security controls, IAM, encryption and compliance frameworks
• Experience with monitoring, performance tuning and cost?optimisation tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder?management skills; ability to mentor engineers
