Maritime Change Coordinator - NV2 Cleared | Sydney or Canberra

Cleared Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a major Defence-led ICT program. This long-term program aims to deliver secure, integrated, and cyber-resilient maritime capabilities to support Navy operations both at sea and onshore.

We are currently seeking a Maritime Change Coordinator to oversee the end-to-end Change and Configuration Management lifecycle.

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring change processes across complex Defence platforms are governed effectively and in line with ITIL best practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage Change and Configuration Management frameworks across deployed and strategic environments

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic change needs and produce supporting documentation (Change Management Plans, SOPs, Work Instructions)

  • Assess, coordinate, and track change requests while minimising risk and ensuring business continuity

  • Facilitate engagement with broader Defence ICT stakeholders and lead audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and ITIL standards

  • Maintain robust oversight of risks during release planning and change implementation

  • Provide advice and reporting to senior leadership on change impacts and service-level adherence


Required Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Change Management, preferably within Defence or large-scale government environments

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 frameworks, particularly in Change, Configuration, Asset, Incident and Problem Management

  • Prior experience using Defence Service Management Systems (DSMS)

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical matters clearly

  • Certified in ITIL V3 Foundation/Practitioner

  • Experience developing and managing procedural documentation and improvement plans


Highly Desirable:


  • Background in Defence ICT, particularly large-scale programs such as SEA2273

  • Experience improving and optimising change processes within highly regulated ICT environments

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills


Other Details:


  • Location: Sydney or Canberra preferred

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

  • NV2 Clearance is mandatory

  • DSN access and ITAR compliance required
