Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance, and risk management within the defence and government sectors? Cleared are currently supporting a growing organisation in Canberra seeking to hire various levels of Security Consultants (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) that will play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical assets and information for their clients within Defence and Government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with defence and government agencies to assess, develop, and implement robust governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Provide strategic guidance on security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead and facilitate security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Develop and deliver tailored training programs to enhance security awareness and promote a culture of compliance.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes, and provide timely recommendations for mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in governance, risk management, and compliance within the defence or government sectors.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Eligibility for security clearance within the defence and government sectors.
