Cleared Recruitment is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to support ongoing Defence maintenance and upgrade programs.

Seeking: 2 x Mechanical Technician

1 x Electrical Technician

This hands-on position involves performing mechanical maintenance, inspections, and upgrades on a range of Defence trailers and support equipment. You'll be working in a professional Defence workshop environment alongside a skilled technical team delivering high-quality results on critical capability assets.




Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty and military-grade trailers.

  • Diagnose and repair braking, suspension, and electrical systems.

  • Undertake component replacement, fabrication, and system upgrades.

  • Perform quality checks and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.

  • Contribute to a safe and efficient Defence workshop environment.




Skills and Experience

  • Trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, or equivalent.

  • Strong background in trailer or heavy vehicle maintenance.

  • Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow maintenance instructions.

  • Prior Defence or heavy industry experience highly regarded.

  • Current Australian driver's licence.

  • Australian Citizenship - essential for Defence project eligibility.

  • Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain one.
