Job Description
The IT Enterprise Architect is responsible for governing and aligning enterprise?wide information technology environment to support current and future strategic priorities. The role provides architectural leadership, defines enterprise standards, and ensures technology investments are secure, scalable and aligned to business transformation objectives.
This position plays a key role in shaping the organisation's direction, ensuring architectural integrity, and embedding security?by?design principles across the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organisation's IT Enterprise Architecture framework, roadmaps and architectural principles
• Ensure technology decisions and investments align with business strategy and long?term organisational goals
• Document current and future state architectures, including supporting process flows
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic guidance on suitability, risks and opportunities
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational and technical IT risks across the enterpris
• Embed security?by?design principles and ensure compliance with Defence and Government frameworks
• Engage with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable technology direction
• Align with governance forums to ensure enterprise architecture supports strategic initiatives
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery from an architectural perspective

Education/Certifications Required

• Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline (desirable)
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g. TOGAF, cloud certifications) highly regarded

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Minimum 10+ years' experience in Enterprise Architecture or Senior Solution Architecture roles
• Strong understanding of IT architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
• Proven experience developing architecture roadmaps and leading enterprise?wide technology change
• Experience with cloud architecture (AWS or Azure)
• Strong understanding of Defence and Government security frameworks
• Broad knowledge across infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, cloud, integration and data management
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non?technical stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem?solving skills
• Collaborative, influential and able to drive alignment across multiple teams
