The Role
We're looking for a Systems Administrator to join the IT team in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role supporting servers, networks, and virtualisation platforms. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and assisting with IT projects. Occasional interstate travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support Windows Server and Linux systems.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices (Cisco, Fortinet).
  • Work with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Monitor systems and perform proactive maintenance.
  • Respond to support tickets and resolve technical issues.
  • Document work, system configurations, and procedures.
  • Assist with IT projects and deployments.
  • Participate in occasional on-call support.
What You'll Need
  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux administration.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals: VLANs, routing, VPNs, IP addressing.
  • Hands-on experience with network devices.
  • Experience in a ticket-based support environment.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and backup tools.
