Cleared Recruitment is supporting a Canberra-based consultancy delivering services across Defence, Navy, and Federal Government departments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire Project Support Officers and PMO Coordinators to support key program deliverables within Defence environments.
These roles will work closely with project and program leaders to ensure projects remain organised, on track, and well supported through effective coordination, reporting, and governance.

Role 1: PMO Coordinator (Australian Federal Government)
Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key coordination point between the PMO Lead, Program Director, and Project Managers on program activities.
  • Coordinate progress updates across work packages and PMO streams, ensuring milestones, timelines, and dependencies are tracked.
  • Facilitate clear communication and feedback loops between project teams and the PMO.
  • Prepare high-quality briefings, presentations, and documentation for senior program leadership.
  • Develop and maintain program-level reporting and governance materials for forums and decision-making.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of PMO governance processes.
  • Monitor and track program risks, issues, and resource utilisation across project workstreams.
  • Maintain program risk and issue registers, ensuring timely escalation and monitoring of mitigation actions.


Role 2: Project Support - (Navy)
Working alongside Project Managers and Capability Managers, you will help maintain project momentum through strong coordination, documentation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support project plans, schedules, and registers aligned with ODCS frameworks
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and activities across Defence and industry stakeholders
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of capability documentation (BCD, OCD, FPS, TEMP, T&E)
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and project documentation for decision-making
  • Support governance forums including agendas, minutes, and actions
  • Maintain stakeholder communication and ensure project documentation is current
